Rosy is the first of our Rosy Maple Moth prototypes made from faux fur. To say that I love her would be a complete understatement because OH MY GOD I LOVE HER SO FREAKING MUCH!!! 🥰🥰🥰 On our next prototype, I might try setting the eyes farther forward, make the noggin a little smaller, and maybe use fluffier fabric on the head? I'm not sure. But she is still wonderful! And kind of a pain to make, but well worth it! 🥰
This precious sweetheart is a super chonk for her size! I wanted to give her wings the feel of a weighted blanket, so each of her larger wings has 1.5 pounds of glass-weighting beads, and each of her smaller wings has 1 pound of glass-weighting beads. Add in the 1.5 pounds of weight in her body, and she hits right around 7.5 pounds. Considering that our Lil' Guys, which are similar in length, weigh between 3 and 3.5 pounds, it's considerable! And I love it! 🥰🥰🥰 Rosy's wings and head are made from sunshine and light pink short-pile Beaver faux fur, while her body and stubby legs are made from shaggy light pink and sunshine faux fur. She has two ginormous black plastic safety eyes for maximum derpiness (Rosy has the Void Baby look down! 🥰), two fuzzy antennae, and a skinny yet fuzzy body. She is a sweet, wonderful baby and will make a wonderful buddy for someone out there. 🥰
